How Cfx.re Upvotes Work
A clear explanation of how Cfx.re / FiveM upvotes work — what counts, how upvotePower accumulates, and how it affects your server's ranking.
Cfx.re upvotes are the backbone of FiveM server discovery. Here's how they actually work.
What an upvote is
Any player can upvote a server from its Cfx.re list page, on a cooldown. Each upvote feeds your server's upvotePower — the score the list uses to rank servers.
How upvotePower accumulates
upvotePower is cumulative and decays slowly over time, which is why consistency matters: a steady stream of upvotes keeps your rank up, while a one-off spike fades. There's also a separate burst value for short-term lifts — don't confuse the two.
How it affects ranking
More upvotePower = higher placement = more visibility = more players. Because the top pages get most of the clicks, climbing even a little near the top can meaningfully increase your player count.
Getting more upvotes
- Remind your Discord members to upvote on cooldown — every member counts.
- Make upvoting part of your community culture (events, perks).
- Use a paced campaign to add upvotes naturally and accelerate the climb.
You can see real upvotePower numbers live on our top servers page.
