This is arithmetic on public numbers, not a promise of a position. Upvote power is weighted and decays, and the servers around you keep moving.

How the calculation works

The Cfx.re server list sorts on upvote power, a weighted score rather than a raw click count. Recent upvotes count for more than old ones, so the score decays on its own — which is why a server that stops campaigning slides down even though nobody took anything away from it.

To pass a server you need to close the gap between your score and theirs, and then keep closing it, because they are gaining too. We add 25% on top of the raw gap as headroom. That figure comes from watching the daily movement of the servers we track: a day of normal growth near the top of the list is a few hundred points, and a campaign that lands exactly level gets overtaken within the week.

The recommendation picks the smallest package that covers the headroomed figure. If the gap is larger than our biggest single campaign, that is a genuine signal rather than an upsell — passing that server is a multi-month project, and it is worth saying so before you pay for anything.

Questions

How many FiveM upvotes do I need to rank higher?
Take the upvote power of the server you want to pass, subtract your own, and add roughly 25% headroom — they keep gaining while you climb. The calculator on this page does that against live figures from the Cfx.re list.
Is upvote power the same as the number of upvotes?
No. Upvote power is a weighted, decaying score the Cfx.re list sorts on. A click today counts for more than a click last month, which is why a one-off push fades and paced campaigns hold.
Why add headroom instead of buying the exact gap?
Buying the exact gap lands you level with the target at best, and behind it in practice, because they gained while your campaign was delivering. Headroom is what turns a tie into a pass.
Does a bigger campaign always rank me higher?
No. Position is relative to the servers around you, and the gaps get much larger near the top of the list. Past a point the sensible move is a sustained campaign rather than one large order.
