Bans and appeals
The enforcement record behind a server's rules, and the process that makes that enforcement survivable.
Bans are stored against identifiers — licence, Steam, Discord, hardware — and in most servers managed through txAdmin or a framework's own admin resource.
The technical part is easy; the policy part decides whether your community survives it. Three things make enforcement durable: a written rule set players can read before they break it, a logged reason attached to every ban, and an appeal route that a human actually reads. Servers that ban on vibes and ignore appeals bleed players quietly, because every banned player tells ten others.
Identifier bans are also leakier than they look. Licence bans are strong, Steam bans are avoidable, IP bans punish households, and hardware bans are evadable with effort. For a persistent problem player, a combination plus a Discord ban is the realistic answer.
Keep the ban database backed up. It is the one piece of moderation state that cannot be rebuilt.
