Queue

Also called connection queue, priority queue

The waiting line that forms when a server is full, and one of the few perks that can be sold without breaking the rules.

When a server hits sv_maxclients, further connections queue. A queue resource holds them, shows a position, and decides the order — usually first-come, with priority slots jumping ahead.

Priority queue is the most common paid perk on FiveM, and it is generally acceptable under the monetisation rules because it does not grant in-game advantage. It is also the perk most likely to annoy people if oversold: a queue where half the positions are priority is a queue that punishes everyone who did not pay.

A queue is also a signal. A server that is consistently full with people waiting is more attractive than an empty one, which is part of why player count sits on the server list next to the name. The flip side is that a 20-slot server with a permanent queue is leaving players — and goodwill — on the table.

Queue behaviour is worth testing. A queue that drops players on a brief disconnect sends them to the back of a thirty-minute line, and they do not come back.
