How do I promote my FiveM server on Discord?

Where posting is legitimate

• Dedicated advertising servers. Large Discords exist purely for server promotion. Read the rules and respect the cooldowns — repeat posters who follow them do far better than people who burn the channel once.
• Framework and development communities. Many allow a showcase or advertising channel.
• Regional communities. A server targeting one language does much better in a community that speaks it.
• Your own server. Obvious, and frequently underused.

What does not work

• Mass DMs. Ban from Discord, damage to your name, effectively zero conversion.
• Posting in unrelated servers. Removed within minutes, and people remember.
• The same wall of text everywhere. Recognisable as spam, which is what it is.

What a good post contains

Lead with the thing that is actually specific to you. Not "custom scripts and active staff" — every post says that, which makes it invisible. Something like "closed economy, no starter cash, every business player-run" tells a reader immediately whether this is for them.

Then:

• Mode and region, plainly.
• Whitelist status, so people know what they are signing up for.
• One screenshot or short clip, not a gallery.
• A direct connect link, not just an invite to another Discord.
• A reason for now — an event, a wipe, applications open this weekend.

Frequency

Respect the cooldowns, and vary the post. Identical text on a timer is spam whether or not it technically complies.

Measuring it

Watch your player count around posts rather than counting reactions. Your server's page here records population at every snapshot, so you can see whether a promotion round produced actual arrivals or just engagement in a channel.

The honest limitation

Discord promotion reaches people who are already deep in the FiveM ecosystem and browsing promo channels. That is a smaller and more jaded audience than the one scanning the server browser. It works — it just works more slowly than list position.
