QBox
A community fork of QBCore focused on modern tooling, ox_lib integration and stricter code standards.
QBox began as a cleanup of QBCore: stricter standards, first-class ox_lib and ox_inventory integration, typed exports, and a maintained release process rather than a moving main branch.
For a new server it is often the easier of the QB-family options, because the dependency story is explicit and the defaults are modern. For an existing QBCore server, migration is real work — most third-party QB resources assume qb-core's own inventory and notification APIs, and QBox deliberately does not reimplement all of them.
The practical reason it matters to a server owner is support surface. A framework with a clear release line means a bug report has a version number attached to it, which is the difference between a fix and a thread full of guesses.
