QBCore
Also called QB, qb-core
The other dominant FiveM roleplay framework, newer than ESX and built around a metadata-rich player object.
QBCore is a roleplay framework built after ESX and informed by it. The headline difference is the player object: QBCore carries structured metadata — licences, injuries, criminal record, job grade — as first-class data, where ESX historically pushed that into per-script tables.
That makes QBCore pleasant for interlocking systems. A medical script, a police script and a job script can all read and write the same metadata without inventing their own storage, which is why QB servers tend to feel more connected.
The trade-off is churn. QBCore has moved faster than ESX, and resources pinned to an older qb-core commit break in ways that are tedious to diagnose. QBox is a community fork that tightened this up and is worth looking at for a new build.
Choosing between QBCore and ESX is mostly a question of which resources you already own and which your developers know. Neither framework will rank you on the server list — that is a separate problem entirely.
