ox_lib

A shared library of UI, callbacks and utilities that a large share of modern FiveM resources depend on.

ox_lib is a library resource rather than a gameplay one. It provides menus, notifications, progress bars, input dialogs, zones, server callbacks and a set of utilities, so individual scripts stop reinventing them.

Its practical value is consistency: when twenty resources all draw their menus through ox_lib, the server has one visual language instead of twenty, and reskinning it changes all of them at once. Its practical cost is a hard dependency — if ox_lib fails to start, every resource that imports it fails too, which makes its position in the ensure order important.

It is framework-agnostic and used by ESX, QBCore and QBox servers alike, which is why it has become close to a de-facto standard. The related ox_inventory has had the same effect on inventories.
