Upvote power
Also called upvotePower, FiveM upvotes
The weighted, decaying score the FiveM server list sorts on — not a raw count of upvote clicks.
Upvote power is the number that decides where a server sits on the default server list. It is derived from players clicking the upvote arrow on a server, but it is not a simple total.
Two properties matter. First, it is weighted: a recent upvote contributes more than an old one. Second, it decays: a server that stops gaining upvotes slides down over weeks even though nothing was taken away from it. This is why a one-off push produces a visible climb followed by a slow slide, and why holding a position needs sustained input rather than a single large order.
Upvote power is also relative. Your rank depends on everyone else's score, not only yours. A server can gain upvote power every day and still lose places because the servers around it gained faster. Our trends page shows that happening in real numbers most days.
The practical consequence for sizing a campaign: take the gap between your score and the target's, add headroom because they keep gaining, and expect the position to need defending afterwards. The upvote calculator does that arithmetic against live figures.
