Cfx.re

Cfx.re is the project that develops and operates FiveM. Practically, a server owner meets Cfx.re in four places: the client itself, the server list, the forums where resources are published, and Keymaster, where server licence keys are issued.

Cfx.re also sets the rules. The Platform Server Agreement and the Terms of Service govern what a server may do — most relevantly, they prohibit selling access to things Rockstar owns, and they prohibit manipulating platform systems. Enforcement is handled by Cfx.re staff, and the usual outcome of a serious breach is the licence key being revoked, which takes the server offline until a new one is issued.

Because Cfx.re owns the discovery layer, it also decides how servers are sorted. That sorting is what upvote power feeds. Any service that promises to change your position on that list is, by definition, operating inside a system Cfx.re controls — a fact worth understanding before you buy anything, from us or anyone else.
